After a "blip" over Christmas and New Year, mine and Mark's relationship appears to be back on course ... which is good for all. It was my birthday at the weekend and a great time was had by all ... see my Facebook page for details!!

Well  its 2009 - a new year - new beginnings and what will the next 12 months hold ... well I guess its another one of life's great mysteries that only time will tell.

Certain things are set in stone - my Birthday, Gran Canaria Pride 2009 for example ... its what goes between them that's important!!!

Anyways ... happy new year and its time to set off on the journey that is 2009.

BBC Breakfast - 25th Anniversary - Thursday 17th January 2008 and I have returned to the BBC

25 Years on from the launch of BBC Breakfast Time in 1983,
and 22 years since the last time I sat on the famous red sofa I have returned to the BBC to make a special behind-the-scenes film on how the program is made today.

Gran Canaria pride 2008 was great again this year, the gang returned to the island for the 7th annual pride event and as usual there will be a new film soon... However whilst filming on the island for "Holiday in Gran Canaria VI" I was asked to step in to help our GLAY... the Gay and Lesbian Association of the Yumbo... by filming the official pride DVDs of the Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows as the crew that had been booked let them down at the 11th hour ... so with help from Lee Buckby, GBC Television filmed the stage shows with two cameras and since returning editing is now complete ... with online trailers available in the next few days.

This year has started on a good note ... my Family and I returned to the island of Gran Canaria for New Year's Eve and the first week of 2008 ... and it was a really good holiday ... and surprisingly (not!!) there is a new film ... Family in Gran Canaria II ... see the trailer here.

A blast from the past has come back with vengeance ... 17th January 2008 marks the 25th anniversary of the first edition of BBC Television's Breakfast programme... Ive just been to the BBC to make a special film report for the BBC News Website about how the programme is made... the link will be available soon for the video but in the mean time... why not check out the clips of me on the show back in 1986 ...

Its bizarre to think how much this site has evolved over the years that it has been online, how many things have changed, people have come and people have gone, situations have changed ... but one thing still remains constant ... you can read all about it here!!  Enjoy your stay ... and come back soon ...

4th-12th May 2009 .... Holiday in Gran Canaria VII - the countdown

Just back from Gran Canaria Pride 2008 ... and I've set the countdown for next year's film.... May 2009 will be the 8th annual pride event ... and my 7th Holiday in Gran Canaria film. Mind u ... there's Holiday in Gran Canaria VI to edit first .... Watch this space for all the news on the latest video from GBC Television.

I've recently installed comprehensive visitor analysis on the site, and as a direct result of some of the analysis I have changed the page format from a "Frames" site to a "Non Frames" site... adding a global navigation bar to the top and bottom of each page ... this replaces the original left hand side navigation that was used before. I've made these changes as a lot of visitors arrive on the site from web searches for particular words, and these searches mean that people visiting in this way were not having access to the full navigation menus.

Visitors have come from as far-a-field as the US, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Canada, Germany, Thailand, Romania, China, Singapore, Australia, the Czech Republic & Estonia, its quite fascinating to realise that people actually visit from across the globe!

Over the next 12 months I will be publishing some of the visitor statistics for all to see!
